Kruger Shalati One of this year’s most unique hotel openings, Kruger Shalati gives new life to a newly refurbished train on Kruger National Park’s historic Selati Bridge, which spans the Sabie River.
When the exciting new property debuts later this year, it will reveal the remodeled train’s new luxury interiors comprising 24 Carriage Rooms with glass walls ensuring uninterrupted views over the river and surrounding wilderness and seven Bridge House rooms, including a honeymoon suite, adjacent to the bridge.
The views are perhaps at their most impressive from the deck and overhanging swimming pool located high above riverbanks frequented by wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos, and elephants.
The refurbished train celebrates where visits to the park were first undertaken in the 1920s, with its position marking the exact point the train would park overnight at that time.
Each person’s stay is inclusive of twice-daily game drives and meals featuring African-inspired dishes.
